Bio
Karna McGarry serves as Vice President of Managed Services at Red5, bringing 20 years of experience in the private sector and the Intelligence Community. Karna has expertise in managing strategic and tactical analytical teams, corporate intelligence processes, threat management workflows, and reducing risk for corporations and private families.
Prior to joining Red5, Karna had an expansive career that included service as an Associate General Counsel to the DNI, the State Department, and as a CIA Analyst serving domestically and abroad, including in war zones. She produced a range of current and long-term intelligence products and briefings, and provided analytical support to operations for policy makers including senior members of the Intelligence Community, military generals, Congress, and the President of the United States.
In more recent years, Karna focused her career in the private sector as a Senior Intelligence Advisor to the Vice President of Intelligence Services and as a Risk Advisory Consultant with G4S and other multinational private security firms supporting multiple Fortune 500 companies. She supervised the development of analytical capabilities, refinement of intelligence products and processes, and client training. Karna advised on the business side of the delivery and built programs including analyst career development, providing analysis services to clients, and advising on all-source security assessments in a highly competitive commercial environment.
Karna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Government from North Park University, and both a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Juris Doctor degree from American University. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association.
