Ms. Samantha Miller serves as QA/QC Manager at Red Five. She has over a decade of experience in journalism and open-source investigations.
Prior to joining Red Five, Ms. Miller was a television news producer at top-ranked stations in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington, D.C. She earned nominations for four Emmy Awards with WTVF in Nashville and won Best Morning Newscast for the Midsouth Region in January 2017.
While earning her master’s degree, Ms. Miller served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy’s Middle East Office and on the Understanding Extremist Networks project at the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) as an intern. She also worked as a graduate research assistant for terrorism expert Dr. Daniel Byman.
Ms. Miller holds a B.A. in Journalism from Elon University and an M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University. Her primary subject of focus is the influence of media platforms on ideologically-motivated and grievance-based violence.
