Planning Your Game Day Trip

Super Bowl LVIII will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Allegiant Stadium is located next to the Las Vegas Strip, near the Mandalay Bay facility, and is seven miles from the Harry Reid International Airport via the McCarran Airport Connector. The stadium has a 65,000-person capacity and is the home field to the Las Vegas Raiders and the UNLV Rebels football teams.

Parking and Transport

There will be no visitor parking at Allegiant Stadium for the Super Bowl. Attendees will need to park elsewhere, or find an alternative way to reach the stadium.

Parking

Allegiant Stadium recommends the SpotHero App to find alternative parking spots near the stadium. Parking should be reserved as early as possible for the Super Bowl and cancellations must be made before February 8 to receive a refund. The reservation page can be reached here: SpotHero. Many of the hotels along the Las Vegas Strip also offer parking, however, these options may be limited for the event.

Walking from the Strip

Allegiant Stadium recommends using Fan Entry 1 at Hacienda Bridge for easiest access from the Strip.

Rideshare

The Drop off area for Ride Share is on W. Mesa Vista, near Fan Entry 2. When leaving, exit from Fan Entry 1 and proceed towards Las Vegas Blvd. for pickup.

M RIDE

M RIDE will provide two round trip shuttle services from the Circa Resort and Casino and the Palms Casino Resort. Tickets can be bought here: M RIDE TICKETS.

Safety and Security

The Super Bowl is a SEAR-1 event, the highest level of security ranking by the Department of Homeland Security. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has partnered with state and federal agencies, such as the FBI, to ensure that the event is properly secured. This also includes the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA), which has conducted tabletop exercises to help defend the event from cyber-attacks. Although the United States is not currently in a heightened state of alert according to DHS, concerns related to political polarization in the US in connection to the upcoming election, and conflicts unfolding in the Middle East remain present.

The Las Vegas Strip is expected to undergo a significant transformation to accommodate the event, and security measures are expected to be a main focus. Road closures will be in effect to control traffic and there will be a 300-foot security perimeter around Allegiant Stadium, including over the Hacienda Bridge, which is the main entry for foot traffic from the Strip. Security screening will be heightened for attendees. Prohibited items and suggestions for the screening process can be found here: Super Bowl Security Procedures

Crime

Las Vegas has a higher violent crime rate (5.18 per 1,000 residence) than the national average (4), and a higher property crime rate (30.23 per 1,000 residence) than the national average (20). While violent crime has been dropping since a high in 2015 (14,383 reported incidents), 2022 saw a rise from 2021, with 8,605 reported violent crime incidents. Homicides have been rising since 2019, although 2022 showed a small decrease from 2021, with 147 reported homicides. Las Vegas reported almost 300 more robberies in 2022 than 2021, with 1,622 reported cases. All of these statistics are from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report for 2022, which can be found here: FBI’s Uniform Crime Report

Casino Risks

MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment, two Las Vegas casino juggernauts, were hit by a cyberattack in September 2023, which affected system operations in their facilities, and compromised customer personal information, including social security numbers for some individuals. The expected influx of people for the Super Bowl, along with the popularity of sports betting, may make casinos a heightened target for another cyber-attack.

Human Trafficking

The Super Bowl is a known hot spot for human trafficking, leading local and federal law enforcement to focus on disrupting trafficking operations that capitalize on large gatherings. Nevada is the 3rd highest ranking state for human trafficking. According to Las Vegas Police, 330 sex traffickers were arrested in Southern Nevada in 2022. At last year's Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona, police made 48 felony arrests and 330 misdemeanor arrests related to sex trafficking.
