Red Hands Helping Supports Warrior Canine Connection

On Tuesday, May 24, Red Hands Helping team members from Red Five Security traveled to Brookeville, MD, where they assisted Warrior Canine Connection with the training of its new litters of Golden and Labrador Retrievers.

Describing itself as an “organization that utilizes clinically based Canine Connection Therapy to help wounded warriors reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other,” Warrior Canine Connection is dedicated to helping America’s veterans heal and live a full, meaningful life after returning from battle.

With respect to the organization’s focus, founder Rick Yount explained that Warrior Canine Connection utilizes able-bodied veterans who might be battling other, non-physical ailments to help train service dogs for their fellow soldiers.

Motivated by the fact that other soldiers’ well-being and mobility depend upon a successfully trained dog, many veterans afflicted with PTSD who work with Warrior Canine Connections’ dogs find themselves simultaneously conquering their ailments in the process.

Red Five Security was honored to have the opportunity to assist Warrior Canine Connection and looks forward to developing an enduring relationship with this amazing organization. Warrior Canine Connection has been featured on ABC News popular morning program, Good Morning America.
