Elizabeth Hackenson

Elizabeth Hackenson is an experienced executive leading technology operations and initiatives across large-scale, complex organizations. She has successfully led multiple digital transformations, numerous acquisition integrations and innovative programs supporting growth and optimization efforts.

Currently, Elizabeth is the CIO and SVP of Schneider Electric, a $30B global company leading the digital transformation of energy management systems. She is responsible for worldwide IT operations and is a leader in the newly formed Schneider Digital group delivering digital solutions to numerous practice teams support digital customer experiences, services, data and R&D.

Prior to Schneider Electric, Elizabeth was the CIO and SVP of The AES Corporation, a Fortune 200 company. During her 9 years of service, she led the IT organization and established an award-winning cyber security office as well as the technology office to explore new technologies affecting the energy sector to include drones and robotics. She also led a risk-based Internal Audit and Insurance Program, co-chaired a Board Committee on Innovation and Technology and was a member of the executive management team responsible for corporate strategy and allocation of capital.

Ms. Hackenson was also the former CIO and SVP at Alcatel-Lucent, where she was responsible for the operations of the company’s IT, communications systems and e-business platforms. Prior to joining Alcatel-Lucent, she held the position of CIO and EVP for MCI. In this position, she employed innovative approaches to create a business-focused IT organization, and was responsible for the company’s internal systems as well as systems supporting product development.

In 2014, Ms. Hackenson was inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame and her team won numerous IT and cyber security awards. In 2005, Computer World named Ms. Hackenson one of its Top 100 premier IT leaders. The Washington Post named her one of the top 200 female executives and Information Week ranked the department she led as one of the top 100 for IT leadership. Her corporate tenure has spanned several Fortune 100 companies include British Telecom (Concert), AOL (UUNET) and EDS. She served in a variety of senior management positions, working in delivery of information technology services to support business needs across corporate-wide enterprises.

Ms. Hackenson is a Strategic Advisor to the Paladin Group and board member of Red Five Security. She earned her degree in applied sciences from Farmingdale State College of New York.
